Cleric Charges Christians to Live Life that Can Earn Them Salvation.

An Anglican cleric and Vicar of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Iruekpen, the Venerable Dennis Ifionayi has called on Christians to live the life that can earn them eternal salvation in the kingdom of God.
The cleric who asked Christians to note What they would be remembered for when they depart this world stated this during a Thanksgiving service in honour of the late Sir Didi Adodo at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Iruekpen last Saturday.
While stressing the need for humans to leave good legacies that would stand the test of time, Venerable Ifionayi pointed out that the death of Didi Adodo should serve as a reminder that the earth is not a permanent place.
Venerable Ifionayi described late Didi as a man who did not only strive to live a worthwhile life here on earth but also prepared ahead for life eternity by striving to live a Godly life.
In a chat with Newscurve shortly after the Thanksgiving service, the widow of Didi Adodo said the memories of her husband would remain indelible in her heart.
Two of the children, Ada and Ose Adodo said they would miss their late father's unique love and affection especially his exemplary leadership as a public officer.
In his tribute, former Edo State chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Emmanuel Ademokun described late Didi Adodo as a best friend and comrade.
The funeral service attracted past and serving labour leaders of different labour unions within and outside Edo state including the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Edo State chairman, NLC, Comrade Sunny Osayande, Edo State chairperson, NLC Women Wing, Comrade Daisy Osunde, and some media professionals, chairperson, Edo State chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Mrs Adesuwa Ehimua.
Late Didi Adodo was the first substantive general secretary of United Nigeria Labour Congress (UNLC).
He was also the former deputy general secretary, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria 1998, former deputy general secretary, Congress of Free Trade Union 2007.
He also served as Commissioner in different ministries during Comrade Adams Oshiomhole's administration including commissioner for Lands, Survey and Housing.
Aged 58, Didi Adodo died on 12 January, in a brief illness.
He is survived by wife, Mrs. Ngozi Adodo and three children.
