Group Set to Recall Edo Speaker, Other Lawmakers, Heads to Court.

A Socio-Cultural Group, the Edo  Better Days Organisation,( EBDO) said it has concluded plans to drag  Edo Speaker, Marcus Onobun and the other lawmakers that defected to the People's Democratic Party, PDP,  to court, saying it is a clear case of stealing the mandate of the All Progressive Congress,APC, in Edo State.                     Hon. Concerned indegenes of Ukpenu, Emuhi in Esan West Local Government Area and Ugiamwen in Uhunmode Local Government Area of Edo State have cried out over the state of the only road linking the three communities with Ekpoma and the outside world. They also lamented that the road has become a comfortable hideout for criminals who hibanate there after committing crimes in other areas of the state just as they also harass the road users. An Edo State High court, sitting at Okada in Ovia North East Local government Area of Edo State,  on  Wednesday, reserved hearing on a motion to restrain the defendants involved in Obazuwa Community land dispute. The Claimant, Prince Edun Akenzua, the Duke (Enogie) of Obazuwa Community while Pa Rowland Oyemwense and seven others are the first set of Defendants in the case. Justice A. T Momodu held that the the Interim motion ex parte — an order before the commencement of hearing of the case will be held on the 11th Day of May 2022. The ex parte interlocutory application motion which was filed by the Claimant, was earlier slated for Wednesday March 9, 2022. The ruling People's Democratic Party PDP in Edo State has berated the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC for spreading false rumour, stating that the party has failed in it's role of offering credible opposition in the state.
