Obaseki Mobilizes Contractors to Commence Work on Failed Portions of Benin-Sapele Road

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Monday, assured residents along the Benin-Sapele Road axis that the government will immediately begin rehabilitation work on the road, starting from the popular RCC to Ogheghe junction. Governor Obaseki addressing Sapele Road residents at the failed portion. The governor, who visited the area, said his administration is aware of their plights and will mobilize contractors to the site to commence rehabilitation work on the failed portions of the road. Obaseki was accompanied by Secretary to Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq.; Permanent Secretary, Edo Ministry of Infrastructure, Ferguson Enabulele, and other top government functionaries. Obaseki Offers Automatic Employment to Best Graduating Student of Edo State University.

Edo State Governor and visitor to Edo State University Uzairue, Mr. Godwin Obaseki said that he has instructed the contractors handling the Teaching Hospital of the University to resume work as he has also assured the Vice-Chancellor that the staff housing unit must be completed before the end of this year. The governor disclosed this during the 3rd Convocation ceremony and award of first and higher degrees, diplomas, prizes and conferment of honorary degrees . Edo State University Uzairue Set to Commission Campus Radio

By Lucky Isibor The Edo State University Uzairue, has recorded another feat as it is set to commission has the University radio FM station to be known as 90.5 peak FM with coverage of the campus activities and its environs.  The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor who made this known yesterday during the university's 3rd convocation press briefing said the vision of the state government that the university should be a centre of excellence is very much on course considering the achievements of the University in the last few years.  According to him, the university has remained in session and maintained a stable academic calendar since inception to graduate students as at when due not minding several challenges.  "Since its inception, the university has grown with an increase in the number of faculties, departments, approved and accredited programmes, and students".
