A clergy and the Edo District Suprintendent of Assemblies of God Mission, Rev. Paul ThankGod Okeasi has urged pastors and all those working in the vineyard of God to have the mind of Jesus Christ in their work of evangelism so as to be able to truly win souls for God.

The clergy gave the admonishion while speaking as guest speaker at the ordination of pastors, award ceremony and seventh anniversary of His Glory Royal Assembly, Edosa Street, Off Costain road in Benin City, Saturday, 20 March.

The man of God who titled his message the "the mind of Christ", noted that " the mind of Christ is ritheous, the mind of Christ is holy, the mind of Christ is love, the mind of Christ is humble".

He warned those being ordained not to seek vain glory and enjoined them to humble themselves like Jesus Christ who accepted death and even death on the cross.

While urging them to always do things that will glorify the name of God, the man of God said, "always do things that will bring glory to God, when you do things that will not bring glory to God, you're on your own."

Rev. Paul ThankGod counselled those being ordained not to regard ordination as a sign that they have arrived as it is in  worldly recognition and urged them to seek the face of God so the Lord God will also ordain them just as their pastor has done.

"Ordination as you are going to receive today is not a guarantee that you have arrived. Somebody can be ordained by man, but the question is, have you been ordained by God? The ordination that lasts is that that is of God. Am not saying what you are doing is out of place, no! You are in order and God will bless you for that vision."

In his remarks, the chief host and senior pastor of His Glory Royal Assembly, Envangelist (Dr.) Emeka Ekwugha disclosed that their passion for the expansion of the kingdom of God, selfless service to God and humanity formed the basis of selection for the ordination of ministers and awardees.

Dr. Ekwugha,  a medical doctor turned evangelist to sweel the kingdom of God, attributed the success of the ceremony to God.

"What formed the basis of their selection was their hearts, their humility to God, their service to humanity. They were selected based on their passion for kingdom expansion and for humanity in general.
"To God alone be all the glory. As many who were involved in the ceremony, I pray that God in return will cause more celebration in their lives", Revered Ekwugha prayed.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Mr. Tony Negro Erhabor thanked God for the award and assured that he would continue to render selfless service to the society. He dedicated his award to Chief Odion Olaye, PDP leader in Egor Local Government Area and the entire PDP family in the area.
