Onolemenmen Hails Emergence of Orbih as PDP South-South Zonal Chairman.

The former Minister of Works and chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Mike Onolemenmen has congratulated  Chief Dan Osih Orbih, on his election as the national vice-chairman of the party in the South-South Geo-political zone at its zonal congress held Tuesday in Port Harcourt. 

Onolemenmen who was speaking with journalists on the side at Port Harcourt Stadium, venue of the congress described the emergence of Orbih as the  PDP South -South Zonal chairman as a call to duty assuring that he'll excel in his responsibilities.

According to Chief Onolemenmen who is the Adonor of Uromi, "I congratulate Orbih on his emergence. It is a call to duty and I have no doubt that he'll excel in that responsibility.

While soliciting the support of Edo people for Chief Dan Orbih who's the immediate past chairman of the Edo State chapter of PDP, Onolemenmen also appealed for the support of the South-South zone of the party for its national body so as to be able to win the 2023 general election and enthrone a regime of good governance which Nigerians are yearning for.

"I urge Edo people to cooperate with Orbih and let us join hands together and build the PDP in the South-South zone which has always been a zone that is dorminantly PDP. We need to reinforce the support the zone has always given the PDP at the national level so that come 2023, we will be able to take over the national govermenmet and give Nigerians good governance that will bring about a new lease of life to the people."

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
