Edo Assembly Grants Obaseki's Request for Appointment of Fifteen Special Advisers.

The Edo State House of Assembly on Monday, 12 April granted the request by the State Governor, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki for the appointment of fifteen Special Advisers.
The approval was sequel to a letter sent by the Governor to the House for approval.
Majority Leader and Member representing Ikpoba Okha constituency, Hon. Henry Okhuarobo said the request is expedient in view of the need to engage more hands to drive the good governance policy of the Obaseki administration and ensure smooth running of government.
He urged colleagues to support the request of the governor for the appointment of the special advisers which he said will contribute to the growth and development of the state.
After subjecting the Governor's request to a voice vote and approval of the request , the Speaker Rt Hon. Marcus Onobun directed the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Yahaya Omogbai to convey the approval of the governor's request.
Consideration of a bill for a law to provide a framework for the Promotion , Coordination , Propagation ,Monitoring and Regulation of investment in Edo State for the establishment of Edo state investment promotion office and for related matters was slated for a later date.
