Secretary to State Government Congratulates Governor Obaseki, Edo People on Supreme Court Victory.

The Secretary to the  Edo State Government, Osarodion Ogie (Esq) has sent his heart felt congratulations to the Governor of EDO State, Godwin Obaseki on his well deserved victory at the Supreme Court.

In a  statement, Ogie said the judgement has gone a long  way to  confirm and affirm the confidence of the people in Governor Obaseki.
"We  were not expecting anything different because Governor Obaseki had the best legal team that represented him and they were able to prove to the various courts up to  the Supreme Court that the opposition could not establish their case beyond any doubt" 

The SSG Said Edo people deserve the best and the governor will always give them the best  and he reassured the people  and encourage them to continue to support the Govermor Godwin Obaseki led State administration.

Edo people and Nigerians have been in celebration mood since last Friday when the news of the Supreme Court judgment dismissing the certificate forgery allegations brought before it by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 19 September 2020 Edo State governorship election and the APC.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
