Bishop Fred Aghedo to be Ordained Archbishop June 26.

The Bishop of Gospel Defenders Ministry, Benin City, Bishop Fred Aghedo will be enthroned as Archbishop on Saturday the  26th of June, 2021. 
Bishop Aghedo who is also the leader of the Conscensus Christian Leaders Forum, is the founder and General Overseer of Gospel Defenders Ministries, Lucky Way, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City. 

In a statement jointly signed by Rev. Emmanuel Aghedo and Tousaint Onaghise, indicates that the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony is the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki while the Deputy Govermor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu is the Guest of Honour.

The guest speaker at the ordination ceremony is Apostle Dr. Trinity Ogar from Cross River State while Archbishop Julius  Edewe, president, Niger Delta Bishops and Ministers Forum based in Port Harcourt, will minister at the occasion, the statement said.

The statement stated further that Lady Dame (Barr.) Mrs Mercy Shaidu is the mother of the day adding that the ceremony will hold at the headquarters of Gospel Defenders Ministries, Street 47, Federal Housing Estate, Lucky Way, Off Ramat Park, Ikpoba Hill Benin City.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
