INSECURITY: Don't Stay Outside Beyond 11 PM, Ojirrua Warns Residents.

The Ojirrua of Irrua Kingdom and Okaijesan of Esanland, His Royal Highness, Alhaji W. O. Momodu 11 has warned residents of the fast developing town to ensure that they don't stay outside their houses beyond 11 PM.
According to the monarch, the measure has to be put in place to check insecurity in the area and make the place safe for all the inhabitants.

The monarch gave the directive on Wednesday, 23 June while aknowledging the people for the homage they paid him as part of activities marking his fifty years on the Royal throne of Irrua.
While giving glory to God for sustaining his life these past fifty years, the Ojirrua thanked his people for the support he has received from them over the years and appealed for its sustainance.
He appealed to the people to ensure they profile every stranger that may come to them for accommodation and utged them to know their place of work and where they're coming from.
"Everybody should be at home by 11pm. Anyone found outside after 11pm will be handed over to the police. That's what we want now in the whole of this Irrua. Anyone who go to farm or work should be back by 11pm and there's no reason for anybody to be outside after 11pm.
"You must ensure you know a stranger before housing him; ask him his place of work, where's coming from. We don't want you to house a thief or criminal. If you house a thief or criminal, it means you are one of them", he cautioned.
Speaking to news men as the various communities in Irrua paid homage to the Ojirrua, one of his sons, Kassim Momodu said he was surprised with the turnout of Irrua sons and daughters, and invitees
He pointed out that the security measures put in place was part of the monarch's efforts to ensure security of residents of Irrua town and assist the state government in the overall security of Edo State.
Also speaking, a retired banker and former Managing Director of the defunct New Nigerian Bank Ltd, Mr. Godwin Oko-Oboh and the Odionwele of Idumeboh-Irrua, said he was at the Irrua Royal Palace to pay homage to the monarch. He said Irrua people are very proud of the Ojirrua and wished him many more years on the throne.
On the establishment of Mudiame University, Irrua; Oko-Oboh said, "it is a welcome development, we are very happy a university is being established here so that many people who have no opportunity of going to the university will now have, especially our local people here."
Also speaking, wife of one of the monarch's sons, Dr.(Mrs) Harriet Abdullahi Momodu described the honour done the Ojirrua of Irrua on his 50th anniversary as awesome.
Dr.(Mrs.) Harriet Abdullahi Momodu, a medical practitioner who has been seeing to it that everyone at the various events are adequately entertained, eulogised the Ojirrua for fostering peace in Irrua Kingdom and the neighbouring communities.
Wednesday, the 23rd of June was set aside for the various communities in Irrua Kingdom to pay homage to the Ojirrua of Irrua and Okaijesan of Esanland as part of activities marking his fifty years on the throne.
