Josemaria Escriva Foundation Completes Arrangements for 3rd Annual Lecture.

All is now set for the third annual lecture of Josemaria Escriva Foundation, Ekpoma billed to hold on Tuesday, 29 June. A visit to the Ujuolen road, Ekpoma office of the foundation saw all the staff and volunteers of the foundation putting things together to ensure a hitch- free lecture.

In a statement signed by Dr. Jude Obasanmi, the Chief Responsibility Officer of Josemaria Escriva Foundation and made available to journalists, states that the lecture titled "Rethinking the Dilemma of Wealth Without a Source, its Security Implecation for Nigeria",  will be delivered by Prof. Marcel Azeke of the faculty of life sciences, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

According to the statement, the Edo State Governor , Mr. Godwin Obaseki will be the special guest of honour at  the lecture which will hold at Mindcast Hotel, Ekpoma under the chairmanship of Mr. Peter Pacqeens Aisagbonhi;  while His Royal  Highness, Oba Sule Idiaye,  Oba of Somorika will be the royal father of the day.

The statement also urged interested members of the public to register for the lecture online at the foundation's website using the link " https://josemariaescrivafoundation.org.ng/".

Other dignitaries expected at the lecture include Prof. Matthew Izibili, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Josemaria Escriva Foundation and other members of the board.

As part of activities lined up for the 2021 edition of the annual lecture, there will training on different areas of advocacy for members of staff of the foundation and volunteers on Monday, 28 June at Ekpoma.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
