The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Archbishop Fred Aghedo on his consecration as Archbishop, describing him as one who believes and always stands for the truth.

Obaseki who was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha and other top government functionaries to the consecration ceremony at Gospel Defender Ministries International Inc., said Archbishop Aghedo has been a supporter of his administration without expecting anything in return.

The governor said, “Archbishop Fred Aghedo is a man of the truth and he always stands for the truth. His support for my administration is out of personal conviction, nothing else attached. You have been a strong supporter; we thank God for your prayers.”

Delivering a sermon titled, ‘God Is Looking For A Man To Anoint’, Apst. Trinity Ogar, who took his reading from Psalm 89:20, said God is looking for a man to anoint for his work.

He said, “God only anoints a servant not a master; a man that is empty not a man that is full; a man that is not qualified for the job as he qualifies those he chooses.”

Ogar called on the congregation to join their voices to pray for Archbishop Fred Aghedo on his new assignment in the vineyard of God.

In his response, the celebrant thanked the governor for the honour of gracing the occasion, describing him as a true friend.

"You are a true friend; despite your busy schedule, you found time to be present here today. I want you to prepare for a higher assignment after 2024. God will take you higher after you end your tenure in 2024, as the situation will turn to your favour.”
