Crime, Criminality and Criminals Have Expiring Date- University Don.

A university Don and Professor of Biochemistry at the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Prof. Marshall Azeke has said that crime and criminality, including the perpetrators of crime have expiry date. He pointed out that criminals of different shades are only able to carry out crime for a while as their shelf life in the crime world may not be more than four or five years.
Professor Azeke who stated this while delivering the 3rd annual lecture of Josemaria Escriva Foundation (JOSEF) titled, "Rethinking the Dilemma of Wealth Without a Source, its Security Implecation"; and the swearing-in of members of the Board of Trustees of the foundation, appealed to the youths to shun crime pointing out that the attractions to ill gotten wealth are effemeral and short lived.
While stating that inspirers of wealth without a source include misappropriation of public funds and embezzlement, Prof. Azeke appealed to parents to inculcate moral values in their children as "like begets like" just as he urged society to stop prosperity preaching and stop imparting the wrong values on the youths.

The erudite scholar enumerated the security implecations of wealth without source in the country to include stealing, armed robbery, money rituals, kidnapping for randsom, internet frauds among others.
He tasked family units, religious organisatios, government and non govermenmetal organisations on the redefinition of wealth, our value system, family values and right education for our children.
Welcoming guests earlier, the Chief Responsibility Officer of Josemaria Escriva Foundation, Dr. Jude Obasanmi pointed out that the annual lectures are aimed at increasing the body of knowledge in the foundation's host community adding that they're tailored to address contemporary issues in the society.

"These series of lectures are part of our efforts aimed at increasing the body of knowledge, productivity, service quality and impact of the foundation in our host community.
"The themes of our lectures are usually tailored to address contemporary trending issues in our society that if not quickly addressed might affect the major fabric of our existence as a people."
The JOSEF Chief Responsibility Officer enumerated some of its activities in the areas of education, health, community mobilisation, good governance and transparency to include "the teachers for effective delivery in Esan West Local Government Area, Adolescent and Youth Reproductive Health Services (AYRH) in Esan West, Igueben and Etsako West LGA; the Children Against Forced Engineering Project (CAFES), Campaign Against Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV), Citizen Accountability Programme aimed at empowering citizens to demand for accountability at all levels of government; Campaign Against Drug Abuse, Organised Neighborhood Campaigns on several issues confronting communities" among others.
In his remarks, chairman on the occasion, Mr. Pacqueens Aisagbonhi said more Nigerians are sliding into the have nots pointed out that the trend is dangerous for peaceful coexistence.
While stating that Nigeria as a nation has enough to satisfy everyone but don't have enough to satisfy the greed of a few, Aisagbonhi noted that the rate of wealth without productivity in Nigeria today is worrisome.
The Royal Father of the day and Oba of Somorika, Oba Sule Idiaye commended the organisers of the lecture and appealed to JOSEF to extend its activities to Somorika, his domain. He also called for the involvement of more traditional rulers in future lectures so that the message will go down to the grassroots.
In his remarks, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Josemaria Escriva Foundation, Prof. Matthew Izibili thanked the guests for honouring their invitation to attend the lecture and there and then approved the extension of the foundation's activities to Somorika as canvassed by Oba Sule Idiaye.
High point of the occasion was the swearing-in of the members of the reconstituted Board of Trustees.
