Evelyn Utomwen set to Wed Ik Ogieva.

Evelyn Utomwen, a Benin based socialite is set to walk down the aisle with her hearthrob, Ikponmwosa Ogieva to tie the nuptial knot in what fans of the love birds regard as a potential society wedding. 

In a statement signed by Presley Lawani and made available to journalists, said the wedding which will be conducted in accordance with Benin native laws and costumes will hold on 7 August at the bride's family compound at No. 14, Ogbesasa street, between Sapele road and Sokpoba road, opposite the High Court Complex in Benin City, beginning at 1PM.

According to the statement,  Evelyn and Ikponmwosa are scions of late David Utomwen of Ugbor Village in Oredo Local Government Area and late Chief Eboigbe Ogieva of Isi Village in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State respectively.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
