The publisher of Esan Magazine, Peter Odia Iwelomen has clocked 63. 
Peter Iwelomen was born at Ivue, Uromi on 13th, August 1958.

After his education he had a short stint with Vono Products Plc a division of United Africa Company, UAC where he had an early retirement after a distiguished and unblemished career. He incorporated Welo International Coy Ltd, a printing and publishing concern. He pioneered the publishing of community tabloids with the establishment of Esan Magazine. 

Other publications in the staple are "The Correspondenct News" (TCN), "Who is Who in Esanland", "Emminent Personalities in Esanland", among others.

Through dint of hard work, Peter Iwelomen has been able to grow Esan Magazine to become a voice in the wilderness crying and calling for the development of Esanland, galvanising and mobilising the people to come together to uphold the culture and language of Esanland and to allign same with prevailing socio-cultural dynamics and to uphold the virtue of hard work which the Esan people are known for.

A responsible family man, good husband and father to his wife and children respectively, Peter Iwelomen has been a pillar of support to his siblings, relations and friends.

While wishing him a very happy birthday, we wish to call for prayers for him so that God will bless him with more years in robust health.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
