Obaseki Leads Edo Delegates To PDP 2021 National Convention.

In a most glamorous appearance and in his usual sagacious moves, the Edo State Governor, His Exellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki leads Edo State delegates to the 2021 PDP National Convention holding in the Eagle Square, Abuja.

The venue of the National Convention which is filled to maximum capacity also have Edo State delegates in the likes of the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, and the Speaker Edo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun.

Present in the party hierarchy of the Edo delegates are, the National Vice Chairman, Chief Dan Osi Orbih, the State Chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi and State EXCO members, National Deputy Woman Leader Hajia Hadizat Umoru as well as all the 18 LGA party Chairmen.

Serving members of the National Assembly led by Sen. Matthew Urokhide, Rt. Hon. Joe Edionwele and others are also present.

In the delegate are also former Chief Whip of the Senate Sen. Roland Owie, former Speaker Edo State House of Assembly, and two-time member of the Federal House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Friday Itulah, former Chief Whip of the Edo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Pascal Ugbeme and other serving members of the Edo State House of Assembly.

LGA National leaders like Chief Dr. Arc Mike O. Onolemheme, Pa Dickson Imasogie, and many others are also present as delegates.

Amongst others in the Edo State contingents present at the National Convention are the Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Engr. Osaigbovo Iyoha, Executive Secretary to the Edo State House of Assembly Commission, Mr. Osahon Ahuwan and many other party enthusiasts.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream. Archbishop Aghedo noted that the people cannot have an Edo of their dream while sitting back, resting on their oars, but urged them to challenge God with prayers on the realisation of the Edo State of their dream; adding that it's only when they have good and God fearing leaders that the Edo State of our dream can be realised.
