It's jubilations full of high expectations as the Okojie family of Irrua in Esan Central Local Government Area is set to give out their jewel of inestimable value, Enibokun in marriage to Emmanuel of the Aghedo family of Emu in Esan South-East Local Government Area, both of Edo State.

Disclosing the schedule of activities to newsmen in a chat, father of the groom who is also the General Oversea of Gospel Defenders Ministry Int Inc. along Lucky Way, off Ramat Park, Ikpoba Hill Benin City, Archbishop Fred Aghedo said "the wedding ceremony of my son which is coming up later this month is very unique in my life because am the first father in several centuries to witness the wedding of a son in my family lineage. I am grateful to God for graces and mercy in my life", the clergyman said.

The high society wedding which is slated for 12 noon on Saturday the 27th of November at the church auditorium of Gospel Defenders Ministry Int. Inn., is expected to be attended by the creme de la cream of the society, including State actors, Christian leaders across the length and breath of Nigeria, captains of commerce and industry and the traditional institution.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
