The Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Engr. Clifford Ordia has presented chairs, desks and excercise books to pupils of Ugbalo Primary School, Irrua in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
Making the presentation Tuesday at Ugbalo, the Personal Assistant to Senator Ordia, Mr. Micheal Imobhio noted that the pupils were sitting on bare floor to receive lessons before the news got to the distinguished Senator on Wednesday, 24 November. He appealed to the members of the community to protect the chairs and desks from vandalisation, adding that provisions will be made for more facilities for the school and other schools in the Senatorial District.

While urging all the constituents in the Edo Central Senatorial District to expect more dividends of democracy from Senator Ordia, Imobhio said, "as much as Senator Ordia is concerned, he's delivering on his electoral promises to his constituents. I am very happy seeing the joy of the children and pupils in the school and elders who are surprised that just one week after they made the request for the provision of chairs and desks for Ugbalo Primary School that it's being provided today.
"Before coming here this afternoon, I was at Uromi main market where Senator Ordia is finalising arrangements for the installation of solar powered street lights for the market."
In his remarks, the secretary to Ugbalo community, who's also the chairman of Parents/Teachers Association of Ugbalo Primary School, Irrua, Mr. Solomon Egboiyi thanked Senator Ordia for coming to the aid of the school as according to him the pupils were sitting on bare floor before his intervention.
"I feel very happy for the provision of these chairs and note books to our children. My mind is filled with joy because we have not seen anything like this before. It is wonderful and first in history."
Also speaking, the secretary of Ugbalo Youth Association, Isah Odia thanked Senator Ordia for his kind gesture and assured him of their continued support for his political aspirations.
A retired Assistant Director in the Edo State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Isaac Obi commended Engr. Clifford Ordia and assured him of their continued political support.
In their various comments, Elder Ben Izeinen, Dr. Igbelokotor Sadoh and James Ugbesea, all commended Senator Clifford Ordia for having the people of Ugbalo in mind in the distribution of the dividends of democracy.
High point of the presentation was the setting of the chairs in the classes as the pupils were also presented the excercise books.
