The Senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Clifford Ordia has flagged off the reconstruction of the Ukpenu/Emuhi road in Esan West local government area of Edo State.
The first phase of the project was flagged off on Saturday, 15 January with the reconstruction work on the side drains of the road.

The Official flag off of the road project was earlier done in the first quarter of 2017 by the Senator, but it was abandoned by the contracting firm due to some irreconcilable  differences between it and the community until last year when the side drain was reawarded to meet the specification demanded by the community, and work has since commenced on the road project.

With the flag off of the side drain, the people are confident of a hundred percent completion by the end of the construction work.
Welcoming the elders, youths and PDP chieftains to the flagg off event, a former Councillor and youth leader from Ukpenu, Hon. Morrison Ehimuan thanked Senator Ordia for not forgetting the people of Ukpenu and  Emuhi and sued for cooperation between the host community and the contractor to make the job a success.

Senator Ordia who was represented by his political team leader, Evangelist Adekunle Oboh, noted that the mobilisation of contractor to Ukpenu/Emuhi road was in fulfilment of the campaign promises of Senator Ordia.

“If you could recall, the Senator promised to work on this road during our electioneering tour which has been requiring attention for long. We are here to thank the people of Ukpenu and Emuhi on behalf of the Senator for supporting us through their votes during the last elections.
“And our way of thanking you people is to site projects that will improve the living standard of the people. We assure you we will continue to work for you".

Also speaking, another member of the team, Victor Idiakhoa Esq, commended Senator Clifford Ordia for keeping his promise and pleaded with youths in the community to coorporate with the contractor during construction to achieve speedy complication of the first phase.

The Senator Clifford Akhimiemona Ordia team was also in Irrua to inspect the on going construction work on the Uzebu Usugbenu road in Esan Central Local Government Area.
While inspecting the  road project, the team urged the contractor to ensure the work on the road is done according to specification.

The team also inspected the construction work at the Phase II of Shaka Momodu road also in Irrua. They commended the contractor for the job done so far and thanked the people of the area for their coorperation.

The road projects are among the numerous constituency projects attracted by  Senator Clifford Ordia, in the five local government areas that make up the Senatorial district.
