Group Set to Recall Edo Speaker, Other Lawmakers, Heads to Court.

A Socio-Cultural Group, the Edo  Better Days Organisation,( EBDO) said it has concluded plans to drag  Edo Speaker, Marcus Onobun and the other lawmakers that defected to the People's Democratic Party, PDP,  to court, saying it is a clear case of stealing the mandate of the All Progressive Congress,APC, in Edo State.

                   Hon. Marcus Onobun.
                        Speaker EDHA

EBDO made the  statement in a release made available to journalists on Wednesday in Benin City.

The Statement, signed by the Chairman, Tietie Johnson and Secretary Edentanle Omozejiele ,  expressed optimism that the court which is the last hope of the common man would return the stolen mandate of the people who voted for the APC.

The group maintained that it  can not allow APC votes to be thrown into the dust bin when they laboured to get the votes for the All Progressive Congress APC in the state.

According to them, "we decided to contest the position in court since they defected with our votes to another party ,abandoning the party that gave them the votes.

" We have consulted our lawyers already and they have gone to court to perfect the necessary papers."

According to the group, " the lawmakers must be made to
account for the people's votes which they took to another party which did not vote for them."

EBDO, " is committed to the people's welfare and will never allow an individual or group of people to steal the mandates given to them through the ballot box".
