Akaba, Owan East Chairmanship Hopeful Greets His People at Easter.

Fidelis Igbadia Akaba, a Chairmanship aspirant for Owan East Local Government Council in the forth coming local government election in Edo State has urged the people of Owan East Local Government Area to continue to exhibit love in their daily lives and assist one another when in need.


Akaba stated this in an Easter message to the good people of Owan East Local Government Area on this year's Easter celebration. 
He urged the people to continue to merry on the triumph of Jesus Christ over death which he said also signifies the triumph of believers over their worldly challenges.

" Celebrate the day and make merry on the triumph of the resurrection of Christ. May your home experience happiness, peace, and hope. 

"He has given us another opportunity, so let us praise the Lord for this opportunity. A chance to become a better person. May his love fill us with renewed hope and eternal love."

Fidelis Igbadia Akaba, a retired Principal Agricultural Superintendent of  Agriculture in the Edo State Ministry of Agriculture, is a frontline aspirant for the chairmanship of Owan East Local Government Council on the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in the forth coming local government election in Edo State.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
