Ahead 2023: I'm in the House of Reps Race to Win, Not to Make Money Osobase Ugbesia.

An aspirant for the Esan South-East/Esan North-East Federal Constituency for the 2023 general elections, Engr. Osobase Akhere Ugbesia has assured the good people of Agbazilo Federal Constituency that he's in the race to win the PDP primary and go ahead to win the main election and go to the green chamber of the National Assembly to bring them the dividends of democracy.

Engr. Ugbesia who stated this in a statement by the Osobase Akhere Ugbesia Campaign Organisation, said he has been offered money to step down for another aspirant noting that he's not in the race to make money, but wants to wine the election and serve his people.

According to the statement, "Engr. Osobase Akhere-Ugbesia (KSJI) is contesting for a seat in the House of Representatives on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Agbazilo Federal Constituency made up of Esan North-East and Esan-South East. It is a young man like this every parent should be proud of.

"He is scion of the Ugbesias of Ubiaja in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State.

"As he goes round his constituency, Esan leaders, Esan North-East and Esan South-East LGAs are not calling out delegates for him. Thus he derived a new means of going into the 21 Wards individual that is why other aspirants started going into the wards. He is a trend setter. 

"Some influencers offered him money and threatened him to step down but he refused saying he is not in the race for money.

"He is not too young to run but the leaders can’t support the youngest aspirant. He is in the metropolis and understands the inner running and lobbying process to develop laws and bring projects to his constituency.

"Osobase has not been given an equal playing field like other aspirants but he strives and hold his ground. He is a leader that we need who can fight for his people in the green chambers of the National Assembly, Abuja."

Engr. Osobase Akhere Ugbesia, a Catholic Knight of St. John International is contestesting for the Esan South-East/Esan North-East seat in the Federal House of Representatives.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
