I'll Support Restructuring, Devolution of Power, Says Tambuwal

The Governor of Sokoto State a presidential aspirant on the platform of the People's Democratic Party PDP, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has assured delegates of PDP from Edo State that if given the mandate as President of Nigeria he'll support restructuring of Nigeria, devolution of power to the different tiers of goverment and grant autonomy to Local Government Councils and the nation's Judiciary as part of his efforts to improve governance in the country.
He therefore appealed to the delegates to cast their votes for him and avoid primordial sentiments during the forthcoming presidential primary of the party.

Governor Tambuwal gave the assurance while canvassing for votes from the national delegates of the party in Edo State at the party secretariat in Benin City on Friday, 20th May, 2022.
While going down memory lane, Governor Tanbuwal described himself as the most qualified in terms of legislative and executive experience among all those that have so far signified intention to vie for the nation's presidency.
He promised Edo delegates that he will make good use of his chain of experience to give financial autonomy to the judiciary, the legislative and the local government councils.
Referring to his achievements as governor of Sokoto State where primary education has been made fully free and accessible to all and sundry, he promised that he will replicate it at the centre.
On restructuring of the country, he stated that he is in full support of it and would endeavour to implement it, adding that under his watch no part of the country will be left behind in the scheme of things.
In his remarks, Edo State PDP chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, promised the PDP aspirant that the core of the state delegates for the national convention will cast their votes for him because of his vast experience and honesty of purpose.
