"So we are creating enlightenment to let people know that if they imbibe the various protocols on how to prevent these rats from entering their homes, they'll be safe. We have also told them if they have symptoms, they should go to the nearest health facility for diagnosis", he explained.
Comrade Obasanmi Jude also called on waste managers to spread their business activities in Ekpoma as waste management was very promising in the area. He also appealed to the Local Government Council Head of Administration Engr Edward Irhiogbe to sustain the awareness and also ensure that the filt removed from the drains were cleared. He said, the Foundation will continue the enlightenment to other parts of Edo Central.
Comrade Lawrence Isiraojie and Comrade Samuel Osagie, in their separate remarks also spoke on the reason behind the campaign and emphasized the need for the people to imbibe good sanitation habits, as well as the need to avoid bush burning which cause the vectors - rats- to leave their natural habitats for homes.
