Gospel Defenders Ministries Set 25 June for Grand Breaking of IDP Camp.

Gospel Defenders Ministries Int Inc has fix the grand breaking ceremony of it's Old People's Home and Internally Displaced Persons' (IDP) Camp for the 25 June.

Speaking to newsmen on arrangements for a hitch free grand breaking ceremony, the General Overseer of Gospel Defenders Ministries Int Inc, Archbishop Fred Aghedo, the ceremony will take place at the internal headquarters of the ministry at Eguare-Emu, at 11am.

He said they've put up some buildings at the site just as they have started receiving some IDPs at the camp and appealed to members of the public to partner with them with a view to alleviating the plight of the internally displaced persons.

"We have started putting up buildings for the internally displaced persons. So it pains my heart and I pray to God that I will be able draw the attention of the state government, development partners and well meaning members of the public to see the place and see where they can partner with us."

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
