"I note with profound memories the laudable contributions of Madam Tessy Ikimi to the society at large and her immediate family.
"I shall not fail to mention her great sacrifices of saving lives while serving as a matron in the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH. Her's was a selfless and dedicated time on the job. Her motherly, humane, calm and generous attitude towards all shall be greatly missed.
"It is worthy of mention too, that despite the demanding nature of her job at the UBTH, she couldn't stop using her cooking skills to the benefit the society. Many people did not only eat and relish her delicacies, but she trained and mentored a number of young people to become successful caterers.
"The passing unto eternal glory of Madam Tessy Ikimi is not only a loss to the Ikimi's family alone but to the entire Edo State. I commiserate with our National Leader, Chief Tom Ikimi. I pray that God Almighty would grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May the soul of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen."
