Emu Youth President Sues for Unity as Members Donate Chairs for Secretariat.

The president of Emu Youth Association, Comrade Okoirhon has called on the youths of Emu kingdom in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo to be united so as to be able to attract development to the community. He also solicited support for the community vigillantee to enable the security outfit smoke out hoodlums in the area and prevent kidnappings and other crimes in the area.
Okoirhon made the appeal when he made a surprise appearance at the monthly meeting of the Benin branch of the Emu Youth Association held on Sunday, 31 July.

The monthly meeting also witnessed the donation of chairs to the secretariat of the Benin branch of the association by Mr Frank Uhonmonasebhor, AKA Accurate.
While urging the donor to continue in his philanthropic gestures, Okoirhon prayed for him saying, "We pray that God almighty will continue to replenish his pocket and grow futher in all of his business."

Members of the association also eulogised and prayed  for Lucky Ehiabhi and Micheal Agbonta for attending the monthly meeting and reconciling with the association after their disagreement with the youth group during their last general election.

In their various responses, Lucky Ehiabhi and Michael Agbonta pledged their commitment to the ideals of the association while assuring that they'll  guide against the reoccurrence of the issues that led to their disagreement with the association during the last general election.

While appreciating the new found unity in the association, Monday Jericho pledged the donation of additional twenty chairs to the secretariat of Emu Youth Association, Benin branch.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
