APC Big-wigs Grace Edo South Senatorial Campaign Council Inauguration

The All Progressive Congress, APC, has assured of its readiness to rescue Edo State from what it termed  the mismanagement and hardship brought to Edo people  by  the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP through their obnoxious and inhuman policies.

The chairman of the Edo State chapter of the APC, Col. David Imuse (rtd)stated this Friday, 21 October while inaugurating the
 Edo South Senatorial District  Campaign council in Benin city. 



Addressing the members of the innaugurated campaign council,  Col. David Imuse (rtd), said Edo people are fed up of the misrule of the PDP government in the state, thus calling on all members of the campaign council to work hard for the victory of the party's presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the Senatorial candidate, Vincent Asuen and others. 


He stated that the constitution of the council led by Dr. Wilson Ogieva, was directed towards the victory of all the party  candidates in the forthcoming elections in the state.


While addressing the Edo South Campaign council, the senatorial candidate of the party, Hon Valentine Asuen (DVD) thanked party members and supporters for the confidence repossed in him, thus far. 

The senatorial candidate said this is the time to liberate Edo people from the shackles of bad governance and inhuman policies. 

Hon Asuen assured the people of adequate representation when elected as the senator representing Edo south Senatorial district. 

The inauguration was attended by the party bigwigs in Edo south senatorial district, amongst whom are the Edo state APC chairman, col Imuse, former APC Edo gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Ize-Iyamu , former Edo state deputy governor and chairman APC presidential campaign council, chief Lucky Imasue among other party leaders. .

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
