JOSEF CRO leading the voter education
The Chief Responsibility Officer CRO of Josemaria Escriva Foundation, Dr. Jude Obasanmi who led members of the foundation on voter education at Ekpoma market square and other areas in the university town, appealed to the people to come out to cast their vote for the candidate of their choice irrespective of the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly elections held Saturday, 25 February.
The voter education with the theme, "Vote Not Fight", saw members of the foundation in a carnival like procession, educating the people on the need to come out to cast their vote and conduct themselves peacefully during the exercise.
Responding, some of those who were at the voter education and sensitisation rally they were encouraged by the realisation that election participation is their responsibility and therefore will come out enmass in Saturday's State House of Assembly election and vote their choice of candidates, pledging to avoid any form of violence during and after the election.
There were however some other respondents who were seeing next Saturday's election as a waste of time, having lost confidence in the last Presidential and National Assembly election, but said the JOSEF voter education has changed their perception and then pledged to participate in the House of Assembly election.
Among those who were present at the voter education were market women, Okada riders, traders and artisans.
