By Lucky Isibor

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State have denied the alleged suspension of  leaders of the party in Edo Central Senatorial District .

The State Vice Chairman, Edo Central , Chief Francis Inegbeniki, in a statement made available to journalists said there was never a meeting of the All Progressives Congress APC in Edo Central Senatorial District where such a decision to suspend any leader was taken, adding that the only  matter before the party is a petition recieved by the leadership of the party wherein one Hon Victor Edoroh was accused of embezzling and stealing the sum of N2,162,053.75, being property of the party.
The statement further noted that a meeting was called by the Esan Central leadership of the APC where Hon. Victor Edoror was invited to defend himself on the allegations, but failed to attend and was subsequently suspended from the party until he comes to obsolve himself from the accusation leveled against him. The bank statement detailing the transfer of the said money into Hon. Victor Edoror's bank account was also added to the Vice-Chairman's statement.

According to the statement, "The attention of the State Vice Chairman has be drawn to a post  trending on  social media to the effect that 9 members of APC in Esan Central LGA have been suspended.

"I wish to state that the so called suspension is fake and of No effect. Party activities are not done on social media. The state Vice chairman  called on the general public to disregard the social media story

"The only matter before the party is a petition recieved by the leadership of the party wherein one Hon Victor Edoroh was accused of embezzlement and stealing.

"Victor Edoroh was accused of criminally converting the sum of N2,162,053.75 to his own use. He was alleged to have stolen the amount stated above which was supposed to be shared to the 10 wards of Esan Central LGA for logistics and local security.

"The leadership held a meeting and invited Victor Edoroh to come defend himself of the allegations, he refused to attend the meeting. At the meeting a motion to suspend the said Victor Edoroh was moved and seconded, Victor Edoroh was consequently suspended and he remains suspended untill he comes  before the committee that was set up to try him. The so called social media post was confirmed to be the handiwork of the suspended Victor Edoroh", the statement said.
