APC Pass Vote of Confidence on Chief Francis Inegbeniki

The leaders and Ward Executive members of All Progressives Congress APC, Ward 9 ( Nine), Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, have passed a vote of implicit confidence on their leader, who is the current State Vice Chairman ( Edo Central), Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki.

At an enlarged meeting attended by the leaders and Ward 9 Executives including party faithful, held on Wednesday 19th April, 2023, at the APC Secretariat, Opoji, the Ward Women Leader, Madam Grace Sado moved a motion that a vote of confidence be passed on the leader of APC in Ward 9, Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki, and the motion was duly seconded by the Ward Youth Leader, Mr. David Irabor and it was unanimously endorsed.

The leaders and Ward Executives also condemned in strong term the purported suspension of Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki, who is a member of APC in Ward 9, and also the leader of APC in Edo Central Senatorial district


"We note and emphasized that Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki worked very hard for the party in the just concluded Presidential, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.

"We commend Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki for leading the APC in Edo Central to win the Edo Central Senatorial seat and one House of Representatives seat for the first time since 1999.

"We, therefore, state categorically and for the records, that the purported suspension of Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki did not emanate from the APC Ward 9 and it’s Executives".

The Ward Chairman, Mr. Pius Ohen, called on the Zonal Committee and National Executive Committee of APC to disregard and discontenance the purported suspension as it is totally false, misleading, malicious and done in bad faith to smear the already earned good reputation and image of our leader, Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki.

"Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki had built an examplary reputation and emulative character over the years both in Edo State and Nigeria in general.

"Finally, Chief. Dr. Francis Inegbeniki remains a member of APC and leader of the party in Ward 9, Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State".

Honorable Roland Ekata former Council Vice Chairman said, Inegbeniki is the root that brings water to water the party in the local government, that the so called suspension did not emanate from Ward 09 Opoji in Esanland local government area as acclaimed by the dissidents.

Those who could not deliver their units or wards are those looking for ways to cover up their failure as such wants to forment crisis in the part.

“We the leaders , party members in APC Ward 09 remained loyal and we pass vote of Implicit confidence on our great leader, Chief Francise Inegbeniki".

Among those who signed the communique were Ward chairman, Pius Ohen and all the ward executives.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
