Dorry Okojie Felicitates With Muslims on Eid-El-Fitri Celebration

A frontline philanthropist and resourceful entrepreneur, Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie has felicitated with Muslims in Edo State and across Nigeria on this year's Eid-El-Fitri celebration.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by the businessman and  real estate mogul and made available to newsmen in Benin City, he urged the Muslim Ummahs to continue to put the lessons of Ramadan in their daily lives and relationship with their fellow men.

According to the statement, "I felicitate with our Muslim Ummahs in Edo State and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year's Eid-El-Fitri celebration which marks the end of the Ramadan fast.

"I congratulate Muslims in Edo State and other parts of Nigeria on this month long spiritual exercise comprising prayers, fasting, abstinence and almsgiving  in fulfilment of the Devine command.

"I pray that the Almighty Allah will bless your sacrifice and reward us with a peaceful and prosperous future.

"As we celebrate, I urge all our Muslim brothers to continue to practice the virtues of  piety, sacrifice, love, self-denial and good conduct in our daily relationship with one another as imbibed during the Ramadan. 


"I believe that Edo State can make rapid progress in all fronts if we re-enact the exemplary virtues typified by the teachings of Ramadan through patience, steadfastness, generosity and obedience to Allah's command and constituted authority".

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
