Edo North Youths Lead Project Dorry Okojie 2024

To underline the seriousness they attach to the call on Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie to contest the Edo State 2024 governorship election to produce a Governor of Esan extraction, youths in Edo North on Friday took out time of their celebration of the Eid-El-Fitri festivities to converge on Auchi to erect giant bill boards canvassing support for Dorry Okojie's gubernatorial project.

One of the youths who spoke to news men on condition of anonymity said some group of young men in Auchi came together to design and print the bill board which they erected.

He noted that apart from the fact that Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie is from Esan land in Edo Central Senatorial District, he is eminently  qualified to lead Edo State, adding that they erected the bill board for him to encourage and embolden him to throw his heart into the Edo State gubernatorial ring and be assured of the support of the youths.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
