PDP Clears Louis Success Imhadegbelo for Esan South-East LG Election

A frontline aspirant for the chairmanship of Esan South-East Local Government Area Council for the Edo State Local Government election, Louis Success Imhadegbelo has been cleared by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to participate in the party's primary election.

After presenting all his documents to the screening committee as required by the PDP guidelines, the  committee discovered that Louis Success Imhadegbelo met all the requirements and subsequently cleared him and issued him a clearance certificate.

Louis Imhadegbelo won his unit, won his ward in both the presidential and Edo State House of Assembly elections. He also contributed to the party's victory in the House of Assembly election where Hon. Ikpenomen of the PDP won.

Speaking with newsmen while displaying the clearance certificate, Imhadegbelo appealed to the PDP delegates in Esan South-East to nominate him as the PDP chairmanship candidate for the election, assuring that he will take the Local Government Area to a new height of development.

Also speaking with newsmen, one of the PDP supporters who came to the screening venue to solidarize with Imhadegbelo who spoke on condition of anonymity said, "Louis Imhadegbelo is an asset to PDP. If he becomes the chairman of Esan South-East Local Government Area we are sure of more than 90 percent votes for PDP in future elections in our Local Government Area".

Louis Imhadegbelo then appealed to the people of Esan South-East to support him as he seeks his party ticket and continue to support the Governor Godwin Obaseki led PDP administration in Edo State.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
