Dorry Okojie Lauds Esan Enijie's Meeting With Oba of Benin

A renown philanthropist and Frontline governorship aspirant for Edo 2024 governorship election, Dr. Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie has commended the parley between Esan Enijie and Oba Ewuare 11 N'Ogidigan held  in Benin City,Thursday 1 June and appealed for the expansion of its scope and regularity.

Dorry Okojie who is a property merchant stated this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Benin City, commending the Benin Monarch and Esan Enijie for the royal parley.


According to the statement"  I want to express my most profound gratitude to our Royal Father, the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare 11 N'Ogidigan for hosting the Enijie in Esan land to discuss issues affecting Edo State.

"I also commend the Esan Enijie who initiated this move to consult our revered Oba of Benin to rob minds on pertinent issues in Edo State.

"Such consultations with the Oba of Benin on these pertinent issues are long over due and I appeal that such parleys  should be made more regular while the scope of the issues should be expanded to accommodate security, farming, deforestation, environment and how to assist the government to reduce cost of living in the state.

"While I want to commend other Esan leaders who accompanied the Enijie on this royal visit, I wish to also suggest that they expand such meetings to include socio-cultural groups across Edo State, make it more regular with a view to discussing our common challenges and how to collectivize their solutions to make it cost effective and increase the collective impact", the statement said.

Oshiomhole's Claim of Disqualification of Ighodalo, Treasonable Offence - PDP

The Ause/Ogie Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as treasonable offence, claims of the former governor of EDO State and now Senator Adams Oshiomhole of the APC that Ighodalo is not a candidate of PDP in the Governorship election of Edo State scheduled for September 21, laying claims to the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja. FG Approves New Whistleblower Protection Bill

This was one of the memos presented to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) by the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning Wednesday, 14 December.
