Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero Congratulates SGF Akume

A frontline aspirant for the Edo State 2024 governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero has congratulated Senator George Akume on his appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero who stated this in congratulatory message to Senator Akume and made available to newsmen, described the appointment as apt and a round peg in a round hole.

According to the statement, "I wish to congratulate Senator George Akume on his appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

"Your appointment is well deserved and am confident that you'll bring your experience as a former Governor of Benue State, a former Senator of the Federal Republic, and the immediate past Minister of Special Duties to bear in the discharge of your duties as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.


While noting that Senator George Akume has what it takes to effectively coordinate federal government activities for enhanced performance, Hon. Ekhoragbon-Ero urged the new SGF to initiate policies and programmes to cater to the needs of women, youths and children in the country.

"Your choice as Secretary to the Government of the Federation at this critical moment of our nationhood is a round peg in a round hole and apt as you have what it takes to coordinate government activities with the National Assembly, the various state governments and other Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for optimum performance.


"While congratulating you for this new appointment, I wish to appeal to you to factor the needs of women, youths and children into your programme of action as you coordinate activities of the Federal Government".

Court Restrains Victor Irekenagba From Claiming Eddy Ehiakhamen as Father
