Why is Dorry Okojie in politics? How do Nigerians see politics and politicians? 

Unarguably, some see politics as a game in which people go into for the pursuit and actualization of self- serving goals. That is merely putting it euphemistically. 

In general sense, politics as a concept is broad. Here we are interrogating politics as it relates to a state of engagements and activities surrounding the acquisition of power. The centrality of power in politics and what is done with such power once acquired is the kernel of this treatise.

As Dorry Okojie doubles down on his political engagements , what does he intend to do with power if the people, through the instrumentality of the ballot box, give it to him?

Many Edo people, especially those who have been studying his steps and know where he is coming from, are convinced that the man Dorry represents a new force whose intention to be the next Governor of Edo is to unleash a new set of governance ideas on the State.

As the ideas continue to unfurl, the prospects of a renewed wave of "people based" participation in mobilization for him look bright.
The spike in public enthusiasm in participation in driving the Dorry project underscores the attractiveness of the governance ideas he represents and epitomizes.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
