South South SWAN Felicitate With Seriwoo, NEC And Delegates

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), South South, has congratulated the immediate past President of SWAN, Dr Honour Sariwoo,the newly elected President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, National Executive Council (NEC) members and all delegates that attended the just concluded National Triennial Delegates Congress of the association held in Omoku, Rivers State for a successful Congress.

The newly elected Vice President of the zone, Azuka Ralph Chiemeka in a statement, described Dr Sariwoo, as a good ambassador of the zone, with an excellent leadership acumen which he demonstrated while in office as President of the association.

The South South Vice President thanked the immediate past President for his sagacious stewardship and unwavering devotion to the association which demonstrated the hallmark of excellence in leadership that reflected inclusiveness, balance, equity and meritocracy.

The Zone also extends its heartfelt Congratulations to the newly elected National President, Mr. Isaiah Benjamin and other members of the National Executive Committee of SWAN for their overwhelming victory at the just concluded national election.

Court Restrains Victor Irekenagba From Claiming Eddy Ehiakhamen as Father

Erameh has granted a perpetual injunction restraining one Victor Irekenagba from Opoji, in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State from parading himself as the son of Eddy Ehiakhamen, from Egoro Na-Oka in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.                       Victor Irekenagba                         Second Defendant   The Court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining one Madam Akhere, who is the mother of Victor Irekenagba from Opoji in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, from parading the said Victor Irekenagba as son of Mr. Eddy Ehiakhamen. Edo State University Uzairue Set to Commission Campus Radio

By Lucky Isibor The Edo State University Uzairue, has recorded another feat as it is set to commission has the University radio FM station to be known as 90.5 peak FM with coverage of the campus activities and its environs.  The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor who made this known yesterday during the university's 3rd convocation press briefing said the vision of the state government that the university should be a centre of excellence is very much on course considering the achievements of the University in the last few years.  According to him, the university has remained in session and maintained a stable academic calendar since inception to graduate students as at when due not minding several challenges.  "Since its inception, the university has grown with an increase in the number of faculties, departments, approved and accredited programmes, and students".
