A State Governor, in a federation like Nigeria, wields enormous powers . In the face of multifaceted challenges, it is his duty to be swift, resolute and meticulous in articulating and ensuring remedies.
Poor governance which is the product of dearth of intelligent, realistic and practical solutions to problems is the harvest of inexperienced and incompetent hands in power, with unpleasant consequences for the State.

In view of the foregoing, reinforced by the saying that the people get the kind of government they desire, it has become absolutely necessary for Edo people to be wise in their choice of who becomes their Governor , next year.

With many fingers pointing at Dorry Okojie and his name resting on their tongues as one who is trusted to convert promises to actions, re-enacting a new chapter of social and economic vitality, hope is rising fast, that, come 2024 polls, 
the right choice will be made.

By the Grace of God and the Support of the people, (Dr) Efosa Dorry Okojie is the next Governor of Edo State.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
