Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero Extends Congratulations to Six Women on President Tinubu's Ministerial List

A frontline governorship aspirant for the Edo State 2024 Edo State governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC ), Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero (JP) has congratulated the six women who made the ministerial list of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The women are, Hon. Imaan Sulaman, Minister of State, Police Affairs, Dr. Uzoka Anite, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; Dr. Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs; Hannatu Musawa, Minister of Culture and Creative Economy and Nkiruka Onyejeocha, Minister of State, Labour and Employment.

Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero who noted that the women have been successful in their careers and priviious engagements, urged them to bring their previous experience in politics, their profession to bear in their various ministerial assignments and make a difference.

While thanking His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for finding the women worthy to be in his cabinet, Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero JP further appealed for more visibility of women in his
 government.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
