Former Executive Secretary of the Edo State Rapid Response Agency and a frontline aspirant for the Edo State 2024 governorship election, Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero JP has congratulated former Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, on his emergence as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a congratulatory message she signed and made available to newsmen, Hon. Maureen Ekhoragbon-Ero JP who is a governorship aspirant for the Edo State 2024 governorship election on the platform of the APC, noted that Ganduje has what it takes to unite the party and reenact its winning streak to continue to remain dominant in the nations political space.

According to the message, "I congratulate you, Your Excellency on your emergence as the national chairman of our great party, the APC.

"Your choice by the National Executive Committee NEC of our party is apt, especially at this time President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is settling down, forming his government and reengineering the economy. I have no doubt in mind that you have what it takes to stabilise the party and galvanise it to give the President the needed support at this critical time to see the reforms he is embarking on come to fruition.

"Once again, congratulations as I wish you a successful tenure in office".

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
