Dorry Okojie And Actualization of Good Governance

Over the years, we have been under the crushing weight of inadequate governance and dearth of creative social and economic remedies which consequently have exacerbated our pains and trials.

The people have been yearning for good governance--- governance built around collective aspirations. Regrettably, this has remained a mirage as betrayed promises compete with squandered hopes.

Caught in the vortex of this quagmire, a man has emerged in Edo political space whose records have stirred the people's hope for a better tomorrow.

His name is Dorry Okojie.With him, good 
governance is assured .He is not just concerned about the process of measuring how public institutions conduct public affairs and manage public resources, but most importantly he is committed to   guaranteeing  the realization of human rights and managing public patrimony in a manner essentially free of abuse and corruption and with due regard for the rule of law.

A State  Governor in a federation, like Nigeria, wields enormous powers.
In the face of multifaceted challenges, it is his duty to be meticulous, swift and resolute in articulating the right policy options in goals actualization.

Lack of intelligent, realistic and practical approach to problem solving breeds bad governance.And the consequences for the people are grave.

Against this backdrop,  reinforced by the fact that the people get the kind of government they desire, it has become absolutely necessary for Edo people to be wise in their choice of next Governor.

With Dorry Okojie's name on the tongues of many people as the one  trusted to provide leadership, hope is rising that come 2024, he will emerge the preferred choice.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
