Dorry Okojie and Democratic Leadership

A nation can be a democracy without the people enjoying the benefits of democratic leadership.This happens when a leader feels he alone knows it all, and consequently treats any suggestion that differs from his own position as antagonistic and rebellious.
Unique problem- solving processes, creative solutions and innovative ideas which are needed to drive development are better harvested under democratic leadership.

And what is democratic leadership? It is a leadership style that guarantees participative conversation in decision making process--- listening to and allowing the people/ groups being led to have a say in governance.

Dorry Okojie has the qualities of a democratic leader-- one of which is a listening ear which promotes a wide range of ideas from the people-- and from these ideas navigates ways to develop and execute plans for the good of all. This will help to grease the engine of his cardinal objectives he is bringing to the table for a greater Edo.

As a good listener and meticulous observer, he has proven to be a doer.

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
