His choice of policy options in his drive to be the next Governor of Edo State, has set his popularity soaring in graceful splendour.

One of his cardinal programs is heavy investment in road infrastructure, which unarguably has the potentials of transforming subsistence farming into a big and profitable commercial and dynamic farming system.

Many rural farmers are compelled to operate at subsistence level because of absence of good roads to get their produce to urban centres where they are needed 

In view of the foregoing, Dorry Okojie is in a hurry to unlock the potentials embedded in rural areas through massive roads rehabilitation and reconstruction.

He talks about the contribution good roads can make in fostering overall economic development, social convenience and commercial vitality of Edo State.

His approach is going to be comprehensive-- in the sense that provision of good roads in rural areas will be happening simultaneously with strivings for urban renewal .

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
