Dorry Okojie Congratulates Abia Governor, Otti on Supreme Court Victory

Frontline Labour Party governorship aspirant for the Edo 2024 governorship election, (Dr) Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie has congratulated Abia State Governor, Alex Otti for his Supreme Court Victory. 

The Supreme Court on Wednesday, 17 January affirmed the election of Alex Otti as Governor of Abia State.

In a congratulatory Message to the Abia State Governor, Dorry Okojie hailed the Supreme Court judgement affirming the election of Alex Otti as Abia State Governor, describing it as an affirmation of the will of the good people of Abia State to bestow the mantle of leadership of the state on a man who is on the same page with his people, knows their challenges and has been addressing the challenges since his swearing- in on May 29, 2023.

"I congratulate my brother and Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Alex Otti for your Supreme Court victory. This victory has confirmed your victory at the Abia State governorship polls.

"This Supreme Court victory is an affirmation of the will of Abia people who freely gave you their mandate to govern the state in their realisation that you know their challenges and how to confront them and give them better opportunities to excel.

"While congratulating you and the good people of Abia State, I wish to appeal to you to continue to work for the good of your people as you've been doing since your assumption of office on 29 May, 2023".

Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. Edo 2024: Consensus Christian Leaders Forum Holds Prayer Session

By Lucky Isibor Ahead the Edo State 2024 governorship election, the Consensus Christian Leaders Forum (CCLF) is to hold a prayer session on Saturday, 10 February to seek the face of God to lead Edo people aright to choose a God fearing Governor on 21 September. In a release by the leader of CCLF, Archbishop Fred Aghedo stated that the prayer session with the theme "Where is Edo of our dream", and called on Edo people to join the group in the prayers to seek the face of God and pray for the realisation of the Edo of our dream.
