Dorry Okojie's Blueprint For Addressing Youth Unemployment

With his robust experience and success in the private sector, Dorry Okojie understands the place of entrepreneurship as tool in tackling unemployment.

He is therefore poised to encourage entrepreneurship among educated but jobless youths. One of the ways of doing this is the offer of financial support or low interest loans specifically targeted at the young who would want to start their own businesses.

He will also invest in technology infrastructure and create environment that encourages and supports innovation, creativity and start-ups. Training and mentorship for youth will also be a part of the total package.

Another area that will be attractive to the youths is agriculture which Dorry Okojie is determined to revive, thereby making it another source of revenue, outside the statutory allocation from federation account.

Oshiomhole's Claim of Disqualification of Ighodalo, Treasonable Offence - PDP

The Ause/Ogie Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as treasonable offence, claims of the former governor of EDO State and now Senator Adams Oshiomhole of the APC that Ighodalo is not a candidate of PDP in the Governorship election of Edo State scheduled for September 21, laying claims to the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The Deputy Director of strategic communications of the campaign council, Dr. Pedro Obaseki stated this at an interactive session with journalists at the state secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, we cqEdo State. FG Approves New Whistleblower Protection Bill

This was one of the memos presented to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) by the Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning Wednesday, 14 December. The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr. Zainab Ahmed, who disclosed this to State House Correspondents after the week’s Council meeting, chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, lamented that the existing whistle-blowing policy launched on December 21, 2016 was losing momentum.
