Oshiomhole's Claim of Disqualification of Ighodalo, Treasonable Offence - PDP

The Ause/Ogie Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described as treasonable offence, claims of the former governor of EDO State and now Senator Adams Oshiomhole of the APC that Ighodalo is not a candidate of PDP in the Governorship election of Edo State scheduled for September 21, laying claims to the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja. The Deputy Director of strategic communications of the campaign council, Dr. Pedro Obaseki stated this at an interactive session with journalists at the state secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, we cqEdo State. Edo State Anti- Cultism Taskforce Arrests 11 Suspects, to Face Prosecution

The Edo State Special Anti-Cultism Task Force  on Wednesday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, paraded 11 persons suspected to be involved in cultitism in the State, pointing out that the operation that led to their arrest is giving effect to the attainment of the Edo State guidelines of zero tolerance for cults and cultism  related crimes in the state adding that more would be done within the ambit of the law to stamp out cultism from the state such that there would not be any hiding place for cultists in the state. The taskforce headed by the Department of State Services (DSS) was created by the Governor Obaseki-led state government in response to increasing cult killings which had claimed many youthful lives across the state. The directive was clear – crush cultism with an iron fist.
