Concerned Oredo APC Not Members of Our Party, Oredo APC Declares

The Oredo Local Government Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the a group that calls itself Oredo Local Government All Progressives Congress Concerned Group, are not members of the party, insisting that they are impostors being sponsored by members of opposition parties who are not happy with the development strides of Governor Monday Okpebholo in Edo State.

The Oredo Local Government chapter of the party made this declaration while denouncing the group's alleged attempt to smear the name of the state secretary of the APC, Mr. Lawrence Okah who is from Oredo Local Government Area.
In a statement signed by Mr. Osamudiamen Osarenkhoe and Magdalene Isekhure, Chairman (APC)
Oredo Local Government Area chapter and Secretary, respectively, the party noted that Okah has been a strong APC leader in Oredo Local Government Area and has contributed greatly to the upkeep, sustainability and stability of the party in the area.

Some persons led by one Osamuyi Osadiaye in a statement had accused the APC state secretary, Mr. Lawrence Okah of orchestrating the marginalisation of other wards in Oredo Local Government Area in appointments into the APC led state government leveraging on his closeness to Governor Okpebholo.

However, the Oredo Local Government chapter of the party has emphasised that the said Osadiaye led group are neither members of the APC nor members of Oredo chapter of the party.

"The attention of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) OREDO Local Government Chaper in Edo state has been drawn to a media report credited to a group that called itself "OREDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS CONCERNED GROUP" where they tried to smear the name of the secretary of the APC, Edo state Chapter, Mr Lawrence Okah.

"Mr Lawrence Okah is a strong APC leader from Oredo Local Government Area and has contributed greatly to the upkeep of the party in the local government area.

"The leadership of APC in Oredo Local Government area view the activities of those involved in the illicit campaign as one that is sponsored by opposition political party.

"Firstly, the group members connected to the media statement coordinated by one Osamuyi Osadiaye are not known members of the APC in Oredo Local Government Area.
They are impostors and interlopers trying to create trouble in the local government chapter of the APC."

While urging members of the chapter to continue to give their unalloyed support to the Governor Okpebholo led administration in the state, the statement noted that the sterling performance of the Governor is what translated into victory in last Saturday's bye elections and congratulated the winners, Hon. Joe Ikpea and Hon. Omosede Igbinedion and urged members to disregard their statement in its entirety

"he Governor of Edo state , Senator Monday Okpebholo is doing very well in the state as project sites abound in all parts of the state. Let us continue to support Mr Governor to succeed in Edo State.

"All members of the APC in Oredo Local Government area are expected to continue to mobilize for the renewed agenda of the President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as we prepare for 2027 election which is possible for the president.

"I humbly congratulate Edo Central people and the two Ovia Local Government People for the massive votes received during the last Bye-Election where Hon Joe Ikpea won the Senatorial position with Hon Omosede Igbinedion winning in Ovia Federal Constituency as incoming member of the Federal House Of Representatives.

"Members of the public are hereby called upon to disregard the Press statement in its entirety as everything said by the fake APC members are all lies from the pit of hell.

"Mr Lawrence Okah is a reputable party man who has put everything humanly and constitutionally possible to ensure that APC remain the party to beat in Edo state and Nigeria as a whole."
